The Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory investigates the connection between the brain and behavior. The research focuses on the neurological foundations of cognition, covering topics such as executive functions, face perception, emotional expressions, the mirror neuron system, multisensory perception, and the integration of visual and tactile information. In our laboratory, we employ various methodologies, including EEG, EMG, GSR, and behavioral experiments. In addition, projects are also being conducted on virtual reality (VR) technologies.
The Akdeniz University Psychology Department Research and Application Laboratory was established in 2015 with the support of the Akdeniz University Rectorate and the Antalya University Support Foundation. The laboratory houses computers equipped with SuperLab software for programming experiments and collecting data. In addition, E-Prime 2 and E-Prime 3 test programs are available for designing customized experiments.
In our laboratory, a 64-channel Brain Vision EEG system is used to assess the electrical activity of the brain. Furthermore, a galvanic skin resistance sensor and an electromyogram are utilized to detect electrodermal activity in our experiments.
