Evrim GÜLBETEKİN
Professor Evrim Gülbetekin is the director of the Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory at Akdeniz University. She served as the founder and head of the Psychology Department at Akdeniz University between the dates of 2013-2019 and as Associate Dean of the Faculty of Letters between the dates of 2019-2021. Currently, she is the head of Experimental Psychology.
Her research interests focus on social cognition, specifically face perception, emotional expressions, mirror neuron system, multisensory perception, prefrontal functions, and hemispheric asymmetries. She has been doing experiments using different methods such as EEG, EMG, GSR, and fMRI as well as behavioral methods in humans and animals.

I am an assistant professor of developmental psychology. As a part of my research agenda, I am interested in personality in adulthood. In this lab, I am working on a project on how individuals associate faces with certain personality dimensions.

I’m a graduate Psychology student. I am interested in emotional expressions, face and body perception. In addition, neuropsychological studies with clinical samples draw my attention. I want to do my specialization in cognitive neuroscience or neuropsychology. I am currently assisting in the “Effects of Tactile Stimulation on Face Perception” study conducted by Assoc. Prof. Evrim Gülbetekin.

Basically, I'm interested in cognitive neuropsychology, specifically face and body perception, emotional expressions and sexual orientation.
